Dear Associate Deans of Research,
The following has been sent on behalf of Dr. Lara Boyd – Health Research Advisor to the VP Research. Please distribute widely amongst the UBC research community, as appropriate.
Registration to the inaugural 2016 Project Scheme competition will be open from November 16, 2015 to January 18, 2016. To complete the registration process, applicants must provide the following 3 items:
1. A final* Project Title;
2. A final* Summary of Research Proposal (1-page/3,500-character document); and
3. A final* list of all participants who will be involved in the Project Scheme application (includes Co-Applicants, Collaborators, Knowledge Users, Partners).
*This is a new requirement for the Project Scheme competition – submitting a final title, summary and participant list at Registration (deadline: January 18, 2016) which cannot be changed at the Application stage (deadline: March 1, 2016). This has been specifically implemented by CIHR to reduce the incidence of reviewer conflicts, and to allow optimal matching of application content to reviewer expertise. Please note, however, that participant CVs can be revised at the Application stage.
Complete Registration Instructions are now available on the CIHR website. Please be advised that the current Project Scheme information and supporting documentation might change based on CIHR’s analysis of the results from ongoing pilots, but no significant changes are expected to be made by CIHR after December 15th.
