As we are just a little past the half-way point of the summer term, some of you have probably already conducted mid-point performance reviews and evaluations with your students while some of you are possibly thinking about getting that process started. Performance evaluations play an important role in a student’s personal growth and professional development. It can help point out where a student is excelling, identify opportunities for improvement, and gives you a chance to discuss work priorities and set goals for the rest of the term. This also provides an opportunity for you to encourage your student(s) to reflect on how this experience is helping them achieve their own personal learning goals and together, find opportunities to make this experience more meaningful and applicable to their future career/academic plans.
