Sent on behalf of Assistant Dean, Curriculum Dr. Adam Peets, Director of Assessment Dr. Kiran Veerapen, Associate Director of Curriculum Years 1 and 2 Dr. Peter Choi and Associate Director of Curriculum Years 3 and 4 Dr. Adrian Yee.
We would like to welcome back Students, Staff and Faculty from the holiday period. We hope you have enjoyed a well-deserved break.
We would also like to say ‘congratulations and welcome’ to the new cohort, the Class of 2020. We look forward to working with you over the next four years as you start your medical career.
The first year of the renewed curriculum was successfully completed with the tireless support and enthusiasm of Students, Staff and Faculty. We can’t thank you enough for your ongoing commitment and contributions.
The success of Curriculum Renewal is dependent upon receiving feedback so that improvements can be made and successes noted. We will continue to actively seek feedback as we implement the renewed Year 2 and the second iteration of the renewed Year 1.
Throughout the inaugural year, the 2019 Class Council met regularly with Faculty members to discuss refinements to the curriculum. This will continue in the renewed Year 2, along with sessions with the Class of 2020. There will also be opportunities for Faculty and Staff to provide comments to help shape and guide future iterations. We strongly encourage you to continue to contribute your thoughts and ideas.
More work lies ahead for the remainder of 2016 as we continue to develop the content for renewed Years 3 and 4 and undertake the continuous quality improvement process for renewed Years 1 and 2.
We look forward to celebrating ongoing successes with you as we commence the second iteration of Year 1 and the first iteration of a renewed Year 2.
Drs. Adam Peets, Kiran Veerapen, Peter Choi and Adrian Yee.
