As of November 1, 2011, the minimum wage in B.C. increased to $9.50/hour. Any employees who are being paid at minimum wage will have their hourly rate automatically increased by the Payroll Department effective that date.

There will be a further increase in the minimum wage on May 1, 2012, when the rate will rise to $10.25/hour. Supervisors, please bear this in mind when considering hourly rates for your employees.
