Are you using an Android smartphone?
Only 4 percent of Android phones have the current, most secure, version of the operating system. The rest are exposed to malware that will connect you with services that will bill you through your carrier, shorten battery life, cause dropped calls, steal passwords, forward your e-mail, skim your address book etc. 92 percent of all know mobile malware in 2013 target the Android operating system.
Every model of Android phone and sometimes even the carrier, seems to have a different upgrade procedure. Some of Samsung’s upgrade procedures are at http://pages.samsung.com/ca/androidupgrade/English/
