Medical education forms the bedrock on which high-quality healthcare is built; training is important but education is vital. As we move towards the HOpe Centre, with support from Lundbeck Canada, we have a unique opportunity to build, on the North Shore and its surround, an accessible platform for the exchange of knowledge delivered by all, to us all.
We would like to offer you the chance to present educational material on a mental health-related topic of interest to a wide, multi-disciplinary audience within the VCH community. You may wish to present a matter upon which you have read deeply, or researched; you may have specific findings or a study you are interested in doing that you would like to describe; you might have attended a conference about which you would like to tell others; there may be a clinical case encountered which moved you or illustrates matters of importance or concern; or you could have a wider, cross-cutting theme which addresses a number of related issues, relevant to the mental-health professional community; etc. etc.
Your presentation should last around 40 minutes with time for questions from an audience over breakfast at a Lions Gate venue initially, and video-linked to partnered sites. I can help with formulating a topic/area, writing and preparing for the presentation and will be there to facilitate productive discussion. You will receive nominal payment of a $50 gift-card, with the real “win” being the opportunity to present to your peers and developing your personal repertoire for the future.
Please let me know if this is of interest to you or others and contact me if you wish to discuss this further. I look forward to hearing from you!
With best wishes,
