Psychiatry Residents and Fellows are encouraged to apply for the first annual CPA Junior Investigator Research Colloquium to be held on Thursday, September 11, 2014. Sponsored by the Canadian Psychiatric Association and organized by the CPA Research Committee, this small, all day workshop brings together 18 junior investigators (psychiatry residents and fellows who are on the path towards a successful clinician-scientist career) together with Canadian psychiatrist mentors who have led nationally funded research programs and mentored junior faculty members.
2014 mentors include:
Colloquium Chair, Dr. Jitender Sareen, University of Manitoba
Dr. Glenda MacQueen, University of Calgary
Dr. Roger Bland, University of Alberta
Dr. Simon Hatch, University of Ottawa
Dr. Philip Tibbo, Dalhousie University
Dr. Trevor Young, University of Toronto
Dr. Raymond Lam, University of British Columbia
The Colloquium will be held during the CPA Annual Conference in Toronto. Junior investigators will obtain feedback on past, current and future research, receive information about various aspects of the research process and have the opportunity to create research networks. Residents and fellows with an interest and potential in developing research careers in psychiatry are encouraged to apply.
