PRESENTER: Michael Twohig, Ph.D.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is a newer form of Cognitive Behavior Therapy that has a notable and growing database to support its use. This one day training will focus on the application ACT for anxiety disorders. We will briefly cover the philosophy, theory and research behind ACT for anxiety disorders. The majority of the training will focus on learning the target process of ACT, how to detect these processes in clients diagnosed with anxiety disorders, and best methods to target them. The training will also provide insights into how to integrate ACT into your current practice when applicable.
