To Faculty Members:
Pursuant to University Policy #21, a Committee is being struck to consider the selection of next the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine. Five (5) Faculty Members are to be elected to the Committee by and from the Faculty.
Please be aware that not all members of the Faculty of Medicine are eligible to run or vote in this election. For the purposes of this Committee, “Faculty Member” is defined as any person with an appointment as a Professor (Full/Associate/Assistant), Professor of Teaching, Instructor (Senior/II/I) or Lecturer in the Faculty of Medicine. Sessional, clinical, adjunct, honorary, and emeriti faculty are not eligible to run or to vote in this election.
This memorandum serves as a call for nominations for the five (5) elected faculty positions on the Committee. Interested Faculty Members are asked to submit a completed nomination form by 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 8th, 2014.
A Nomination Form accompanies this call for nominations and additional forms may be requested by email at email@example.com. Completed nomination forms should be accompanied by a personal statement of 150 words or less in support of the nomination. Personal statements should be written in the first person and the Registrar may edit statements of more than 150 words.
Please note that serving on this Committee is an important responsibility for the governance of the Faculty and that the deliberations of the Committee must be held in the strictest confidentiality.
