This competitive research grant program aims to advance clinical research and patient care in psychiatry by supporting new investigators and experienced researchers in Canada. We want to share this important information with you and the researchers in your institution, and ensure that all interested applicants are aware of this exciting new research opportunity.
The Psychiatry Research Awards Program is a competitive research grant program that aims to advance knowledge of the pathological mechanisms, prevention and management of psychiatric disorders in an effort to reduce the burden associated with mental illness. An independent review committee comprised of Canadian medical research experts will evaluate all submitted proposals and select the grant recipients. This committee is chaired by Dr. Glenda MacQueen, Professor, Department of Psychiatry at the University of Calgary.
