Chef Challenge: UBC vs AMS
Join us on Thursday, July 3rd to Celebrate UBC with a head-to-head cooking competition where you are the judge!
Watch as chefs from the AMS and UBC Food Services battle it out in the kitchen, for the chance to reign supreme in the first-ever UBC campus Chef Challenge.
Thunderbird Park Precinct Plan Workshop Thursday, July 10 – 5 to 7pm
MBA House Commons Room, 3385 Wesbrook Mall Join us at this workshop to learn about and discuss the planned changes for the precinct. Refreshments will be served.
Special Olympics Canada July 8 to 12, 2014
UBC Vancouver campus will be transformed into a hub of activity, hosting 2,000 athletes, coaches, officials and mission staff for opening and closing ceremonies and eight sporting events for the Special Olympics Canada 2014.
All events are free to attend.
Academic District Energy System – July Construction
The Academic District Energy System (ADES) is one of UBC’s signature initiatives to substantively reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. A new phase of construction will begin in July at the north end of UBC Vancouver campus, see the map and schedule for more information.
New secure bike parking coming in September
In partnership with C+CP, Project Services is building a new secure bike cage in the engineering precinct of campus, due to be completed by the end of summer in time for the new school year.
