Technology is exploding at a rapid pace and presents exciting opportunities to change the way that we interact with the world. How can we ride this wave of technological change and leverage these new strategies to shape the face of health care, and in particular, mental health? On January 17 and 18, we open the floor to discussion at our 4th annual e-Mental Health Conference: From Telemedicine to Virtual Mental Health.
We will provide an opportunity for open conversation, inspiration and exchange with developers, policy makers, researchers and those with lived experience.
Key topics of this event will be the concept of virtual clinics, electronic medical and personal health records, and essential solutions based on integrated web platforms and apps. Not only will national and international experts be presenting some principal thoughts, but exciting new solutions and developments impacting the future of e-Mental Health will be showcased.
The conference will facilitate lively debate on how technological advances in Canada and around the world can be leveraged to increase mental health care and improve mental health services and support in Canada as well as aiming to change the attitudes of Canadians toward mental health problems and mental illness. We hope that this will begin a conversation and catalyze the change we wish to see.
