Other highlights of the project include a new pedestrian controlled crosswalk across 16th Avenue from Binning Road to Hampton Place and safety improvements to the Wesbrook Mall Roundabout.
Additional landscaping will be done in coming weeks and the next phase of improvements on 16th Avenue is expected to start soon.

2014 UBC Safety Award Winners
The Aquatic Centre, UBC Food Services and the Heart Lung Innovation team at St. Paul’s Hospital were recognized for their contributions to improving health and safety at the local level. The awards presentation was part of the biggest UBC Safety Day ever hosted by Risk Management Services.
