Please share with your national & international collaborators, colleagues and research teams.The Scholars of Excellence Program is an exciting new initiative launched with support from BC Children’s Hospital Foundation to provide exceptional research trainees the opportunity to generate innovative research under the mentorship of world-class researchers at the Child & Family Research Institute (CFRI) and BC Children’s Hospital.

Who is eligible?
We welcome applicants who have completed a PhD, PhD-equivalent, MD, or PhD-MD less than three years from the award start date. Applicants with more than three years post PhD or MD due to a career delay or interruption (family or health reasons), or for dedicated clinical training (residency and/or fellowship) may have their eligibility window extended on a case-by-case basis. What funding is available?
The program provides scholars with a generous stipend of $70,000/year for 3 – 5 years. In the first two years, additional funds are available for research-related expenses ($10,000/year) and travel expenses to attend conferences ($3,000/year).
How to apply?
Complete the online application form and submit to rededuc@cfri.ca by April 30, 2015. Short-listed applicants will be invited to attend a recruitment visit at CFRI in May. Award recipients will be notified by June 30, 2015.
