Learn more about this year’s LifeSciences BC and Michael Smith Foundation for Health Research (MSFHR) Aubrey J. Tingle Prize winner in an article on the MSFHR website.


Canadian Public Health Association Conference

The Canadian Public Health Association (CPHA) is holding their 2015 conference in Vancouver from May 25–28, 2015. This conference will provide a national public health forum to strengthen efforts to improve health and well-being, to share the latest research and information, to promote best practices, and to advocate for public health issues and policies grounded in research. CHÉOS Scientist Dr. Jim Frankish is a speaker for a concurrent session on Housing First and the At Home/Chez Soi study.

Opinion: Heroin-assisted treatment an alternative to methadone

CHÉOS Scientist Dr. Martin Schechter wrote an editorial in The BMJ discussing the merits of heroin-assisted treatment for those with opioid addiction who have not benefited from other treatments.

The editorial received press coverage from CTV News and The Independent.
