“With great power comes great responsibility”
On April 17 and 18, physicians, pharmacists, and health care practitioners gathered at the Fairmont Waterfront hotel for the 26th Annual Best Science Medicine course, a highly interactive workshop on common and new therapeutic issues from an evidence-based perspective. CHÉOS Scientists Drs. Kamran Shojania and Rita McCracken presented at the event, which had a superhero theme.
Conference activity: Urban health and addictions
The Canadian Public Health Association (CPHA) is holding their 2015 conference in Vancouver from May 25–28, 2015. CHÉOS Scientist Dr. Jim Frankish is a speaker for a concurrent session on Housing First and the At Home/Chez Soi study.
At the same conference, Dr. Eugenia Oviedo-Joekes will be presenting recruitment and baseline data from the Study to Assess Long-Term Opioid Maintenance Effectiveness (SALOME) trial. She recently gave a similar presentation to attendees of the Catholic Health Alliance of Canada’s 2015 Conference, which took place from May 6–8 in Saskatchewan.
