The BC Patient Safety & Quality Council will host this province’s inaugural Change Day BC on Thursday, October 15, 2015. Change Day BC builds on a successful international movement initiated by England’s National Health Service to improve health and social care. Between now and October 15, 2015, anyone involved in health and social care across the province is invited to commit to an act of change to improve the care and well-being of those who use healthcare services, their families and staff.

New certification programs for research administrators
The Canadian Association of Research Administrators (CARA) and the Association for Research Managers and Administrators (ARMA) in the UK have launched two new professional certification programs for research administrators: the Certificate in Research Administration and the Certificate in Research Management. New report: “We all have a role: Building social capital among youth in care”
“We all have a role: Building social capital among youth in care” is a new report form the McCreary Centre Society that highlights some of the barriers that these young people face to building and maintaining social capital. It also shows the positive associations that can occur when youth have healthy relationships and supports within their family, school, community and with peers. You may view the report here.
