To: Faculty, staff and students in Vancouver

To meet a growing need for recreational and fitness space on campus and to address aging athletics facilities (War Memorial Gym and Thunderbird Stadium), UBC is developing a long-range facilities strategy.

Starting today, UBC is seeking your feedback on a series of proposed options that will guide future investments in recreation and athletics facilities on the Vancouver campus.

Join the conversation between October 3 – 23, in person at any of the four public open houses, or online at planning.ubc.ca/ubcgameplan.

As the planning process progresses, we will provide updates on what we heard during public consultation and on next steps.

Once finalized, the strategy will enable UBC to provide students, faculty, staff and neighbourhood residents with high-quality recreation and sport experiences. More information can be found online at planning.ubc.ca/ubcgameplan.

Hope to hear from you before October 23.

Louise Cowin
Vice-President Students
