Course goals and Learning objectives:
The overall goal of the course is to familiarize learners with the advances in the understanding, research and treatment of PTSD.
Specific learning objectives are as follows:
- Appreciate the diagnostic criteria and prevalence of PTSD
- Understand the underlying pathophysiology of PTSD
- Conceptualize a model for the biopsychosocial treatment of PTSD
- Appreciate the latest research findings and the treatment implications for PTSD.
