Invitation to participate in World 100 University Reputation Survey
UBC is a member of The World 100 Reputation Network, which aims to advance recognition of the world’s top-ranked universities.
As part of the network’s annual international research project, you’re invited to share your views on how universities are evaluated by academic communities across the world, and the factors that make universities and their research both noticeable and memorable, before August 11.
An unexpected path sparks UBC’s online learning era
On her first visit to Vancouver from Serbia in 1997, Dr. Natasha Boskic, then a translator, arrived at UBC to take a Continuing Studies course in order to improve her English language, communication and negotiation skills.
Today, nearly twenty years later, she works as the Senior Manager of Learning Design with UBC’s Faculty of Education, where she has worked on the development of 120 fully online courses.
In addition to serving as your official employee ID, your UBCcard gives you access to the library, keyless entry to some buildings, and free admission to attractions such as Nitobe Memorial Garden, the Museum of Anthropology, and more!
