It’s an exciting time of year with classes and programs back in full-force! We’re here to help the Staff & Faculty of UBC live well, move more, and enjoy their time on campus. There are countless ways for you to do so – we can’t wait to see what you choose!
How do Staff & Faculty Get Moving?
Have a look at the variety of programs available to get you moving this fall – and there are many discounts available to Staff & Faculty! Take lessons in the new UBC Aquatic Centre, take your family to drop-in skating, try out a yoga or martial arts class, and much more! The options are endless, what will you try your hand at?
You are invited to try out as many fitness classes as you want, entirely free! For the week, drop-in on dance, aquacize, boot camps, martial arts, yoga and Pilates to meet the instructors and get a taste of the class. No registration is required, just show up 10 minutes prior to each class to participate!
Explore our brand-new facility, and check out programs that are offered here year round. There will be free activities (wet if you bring your swim suit, and dry!), free coffee, snacks, and prizes to be won!
Whether you’re a tennis beginner, or if you want to bring your game to the next level, this is your chance to learn more about the programs available at the UBC Tennis Centre. You’ll meet our world-class coaches, get to try out some fun drills & activities, and there’s lunch provided for the first 50 people!
The MoveU Crew members enhance campus wellbeing by offering movement breaks in academic classes, conferences, and meetings (such as stretch, dance, or cheer breaks!). You can request the MoveU Crew to come break up your meeting or classroom.
