MEd in Science Education (SCED) The MEd in Science Education is a part-time, fully online graduate program that offers students the opportunity to pursue a wide range of research and professional interests in the field of STEM education, with the emphasis on science education. The program is ideal for those seeking to make a difference in teacher education; learning and teaching at the elementary, secondary and postsecondary levels; industry; teaching and research institutions; government and private sector bodies; museums; outdoor setting and other science-based organizations. Apply by March 1, 2018.

Join Common Energy as they celebrate their 10th year on campus, for their most popular outdoor event of the year! Location: Mount Pleasant Neighborhood House, 800 E BroadwayHave you ever used, or wanted to use, a community lending library, collective workshop, or bike coop? These are examples of makerspaces. This event will bring together makerspace founders, community partners, and UBC staff and students to explore strategies that support more inclusive and equitable initiatives. Lights on the Roof Date: Friday, December 1
Location: Rooftop Garden of the AMS NestRoots on the Roof presents its third annual Lights on the Roof. This lantern festival celebrates the end of growing season (and school) and features student made lanterns, music, activities, and art. Come mingle, reflect, and explore how food and space can be experienced within our communities.
UBC Sprouts: Executive Board Applications Apply by: November 21
Apply now for Sprouts’ executive board! Seven diverse positions are available for January-December 2018, including IT Manager, Treasurer and Bulk Buyer’s Club Coordinator. Position descriptions and the application forms are available on Sprouts’ website and are accepted until Nov. 21st.
