Announcement – Dr. Adrian Yee
I am pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Adrian Yee as Director Curriculum, within the Undergraduate Medical Education (UGME) Program, UBC Faculty of Medicine (FoM) effective February 1st, 2018.
Dr. Yee will provide leadership for UGME to ensure delivery of a high quality educational experience across all four sites and all four years of the curriculum. He will work in collaboration with Associate Directors Curriculum, Director Assessment, and the Associate Dean UGME to ensure efficient, integrated and sustainable delivery of the distributed undergraduate curriculum.
Dr. Yee completed his MD at the University of Toronto and his Internal Medicine/Clinical Hematology training at the University of Alberta. He accepted a position at BC Cancer Agency, Vancouver Island Centre in 2004 where his interest in Medical Education began. Previous educational leadership roles in the Faculty of Medicine have included Assistant Dean, Island Medical Program and Associate Director, Curriculum Years 3 and 4. He is a Clinical Associate Professor since 2017, with special interests in treatment of patients with multiple myeloma and lymphoma. He is currently enrolled in the Masters of Educational Technology at UBC. He is the recipient of a Professional Development Grant from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons, Canada.
