The Michael Smith Laboratories in partnership with the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and Canada’s Michael Smith Genome Sciences Centre will be presenting a scientific symposium, the 25th Anniversary Celebration of Michael Smith’s Nobel Prize, on Monday October 1 at the Great Hall at the Nest.
This symposium features an impressive line up of speakers including:
- Feng Zhang (MIT, 2018 Michael Smith Lecturer, Gairdner Award Recipient),
- Janet Rossant (University of Toronto, Gairdner and L’Oreal-UNESCO Award Recipient),
- Molly Shoichet (University of Toronto, L’Oreal-UNESCO Award Recipient),
- Natalie Strynadka (Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, UBC),
- Marco Marra (Director, Canada’s Michael Smith Genome Sciences Centre),
- Brett Finlay (Michael Smith Laboratories, UBC),
- Joerg Bohlmann (Michael Smith Laboratories, UBC),
- Christian Kastrup (Michael Smith Laboratories, UBC),
