Throw on your leggings and pull on your technical tees for Wear Your Active Wear Day!There will be over 15 types of FREE or discounted programs and events for you to enjoy on February 28; including free access specifically for staff and faculty to things like drop-in skating, drop-in sports, drop-in swimming, and access to multiple fitness centers on campus!
Access to the Student Recreation Centre, UBC Aquatic Centre, ARC at the UBC Life Building, and War Memorial Gym has been impacted by a closure on Wesbrook Mall between Student Union Boulevard and University Boulevard. This closure is expected to extend through May 2019 and the route is fully closed to all vehicles, cyclists, and pedestrians.
The UBC Aquatic Centre is proud to host the 2019 U Sports Nationals. Please note that the drop-in schedule will be varied from its normal operations from February 18-20, and the entire facility will be closed to public swim from February 21-23. However, you can still come by and cheer on our UBC Thunderbirds as they compete!
Interested in learning more about what it takes to get started with Tennis? This free 1-hour workshop will help you to get started on your tennis journey. The workshop will cover the basic rules of the game, what you need to get started, and an on-court session where coaches will guide your learning experience.
We’re celebrating the 2nd anniversary of our opening with a free swim! We’ll bring the fun and you bring your family and friends. We’ll have the inflatable obstacle course set up, and there’ll be a variety of aqua fitness samplers, prizes, and much more! Lots of exciting details will be released on the Facebook event leading up to the big day!
Spend Your Friday Night Playing Tennis with Great People!
This is a brand-new program being offered which is a great way to play competitive doubles matches and meet new people in a fun and exciting format. Each session players will get grouped for matches according to their level and play four 30-min matches. A UBC Coach will rotate playing partners and opponents to help facilitate a fun match experience. You can sign up for a single session or multiple sessions as the program will be different each week.
