Message to BCCHR and WHRI research communities
Re Ms Amber Hui, Research Development Facilitator, RTDO
We are writing to inform the communities of BCCHR and WHRI that Amber Hui will be leaving her role as Research Development Facilitator in the RTDO to take on a new adventure as the Knowledge Translation Specialist for the Methods Clusters at the BC SUPPORT Unit.
Since joining the RTDO in December 2014, Amber has been our go-to facilitator for social sciences, health methods, feminist science-informed frameworks, and gender-based approaches. She has made countless indispensable contributions to the research activities and funding successes of many BCCHR and WHRI investigators. Amber has long been a champion of research as a path to inform the wellbeing of women and, in the past 4 years, she’s learned rather a lot about children’s health topics too (even genetics and immunology!).
We will miss Amber’s presence at BCCHR and WHRI, but wish her very well in this next chapter of her career. We are certain she will be an exceptional asset to the BC SUPPORT Unit and to health research communities across BC.
Amber’s last day at work is Friday, May 17.
Please note: We expect the BCCHR/WHRI Research Development Facilitator job advertisement to be posted within the next week or so. We would appreciate it if you would share it with colleagues and eligible candidates looking for an exciting research development role.
