Dear Colleagues,
I am writing to let you know that Dr. Gurdeep Parhar, Executive Associate Dean, Clinical Partnerships and Professionalism, has informed me of his decision not to stand for reappointment following his current term ending June 30, 2019.
It has been a great pleasure to work with Dr. Parhar and I want to express my gratitude for his leadership in enhancing the Office of Clinical Partnerships and Professionalism (OCPP) by creating a more inclusive and connected community with our learners, faculty, administration and our partners around the province of B.C.
Dr. Parhar assumed his role as the Executive Associate Dean, Clinical Partnerships and Professionalism in April 2014. Previously, he was the Associate Dean, Equity since 2009.
Effective immediately, Dr. Mike Allard, Vice-Dean of Health Engagement, will assume responsibility for the OCPP. Dr. Allard will work with Dr. Parhar to ensure a smooth transition and initiate a review of the OCPP to assess the optimal approach to ensure current and future needs are met.
On behalf of the Faculty of Medicine, I want to thank Gurdeep for his contributions and wish him well in all his future endeavours.
