2019 Killam Postdoctoral Fellow (PDF) Research Prize Competition: FoM Internal Deadline is October 29, 2019

 

Established in 2011, the Killam Postdoctoral Fellow Research Prizes are awarded annually for excellence in research. Two prizes in the amount of $5,000 each will be awarded to full-time Postdoctoral Fellows at UBC in recognition of outstanding research and scholarly contributions while at UBC. All fields of research are included.

Nomination packages must be submitted to the Dean’s Office, Faculty of Medicine by the internal deadline of Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at 12:00pm. The Faculty of Medicine will select and forward one nominee to the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies by Monday, December 2, 2019. Supervisors and nominees will be notified if their application is selected to move forward. The final awardees are selected by a subcommittee within the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies.

Eligibility

Nominees must be appointed at UBC and have held a full-time postdoctoral fellowship appointment for at least 12 months as of the closing date for nominations. Nominees must be nominated through teh Faculty in which they are appointed. In the event of a joint appointment, please contact the PDFO at postdoctoral.fellows@ubc.ca.

The Killam Postdoctoral Fellow Research Prize can be received only by a full-time UBC-appointed Postdoctoral Fellow at the time of the announcement (April 1, 2020). The PDF’s appointment must be in compliance with the scope, governing principles, and eligibility criteria set out in University Policy AP10, Postdoctoral Fellows Policy.  A Postdoctoral fellow is eligible for only one Killam Postdoctoral Fellow Research Prize.
