Congratulations to Dr. Lakshmi Yatham, Professor and Department Head, and Dr. Raymond Lam, Professor and Associate Head of Graduate & Undergraduate Medical Education, who have been inducted as Fellows to the Canadian Academy of Health Sciences!
The Canadian Academy of Health Sciences recognizes individuals whose leadership and distinctive competencies have led to remarkable accomplishments and advancements in the academic health sciences. Election to fellowship in the Academy is considered one of the highest honours for individuals in the Canadian health sciences community and carries with it a covenant to serve the Academy and the future well-being of the health sciences.
In his message to the new Fellows, the Chair of the Fellowship Committee, Dr. Proton Rahman, writes, “Congratulations on being elected as a Fellow in the Canadian Academy of Health Sciences. Your induction is a reflection of your vision, innovation and sustained excellence in your field and, undoubtedly, your expertise will further enrich our Academy. We are looking forward to your engagement in CAHS’ activities.”
