CPA Junior Investigator Research Colloquium: Submission Deadline is March 1, 2021

Are you a resident or early-career psychiatrist who is interested in a research career in psychiatry, or do you know one who might be? The Canadian Psychiatric Association (CPA) is now accepting applications for the Junior Investigator Research Colloquium (JIRC).

The JIRC provides mentorship to young Canadian psychiatrists in the early phases of their training and positions these investigators to launch successful research careers. To date, over 100 mentees from across Canada have participated in the program.

Junior investigators are supported with:

  • Mentorship from experienced and funded researchers in small group settings.
  • Plenary sessions on career development and grantsmanship.
  • Networking and the potential of collaborative research projects across various psychiatry departments in Canada.
  • Information about various aspects of the research process.

Eligible candidates will hold a medical degree and be current members of the CPA, or will apply to become a member upon acceptance to the colloquium. Applicants must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents who are training in Canada. The JIRC will be held in October 2021. For more information, contact:
