Dr. Biju Mathew Honoured by MP Marc Dalton for his Contributions to Culture and Community

On February 22, 2021, Clinical Professor Dr. Biju Mathew was honoured by MP Marc Dalton in the Parliament of Canada for his significant contributions to youth mental health in Pitt Meadows and Maple Ridge, as well as for his acclaimed book, Super 30: Changing the World 30 Students at a Time, which became one of the highest-grossing Bollywood films of 2019.

The MP stated in his address, “Maple Ridge’s Dr. Biju Mathew’s book on Anand Kumar and the Super 30 is an inspiration for a blockbuster film starring Hrithik Roshan…  Dr. Mathew was also a catalyst in expanding psychiatric services at Ridge Meadows Hospital to 22 beds… In addition, Dr. Mathew has helped establish our local Youth Wellness Centre, or the Foundry. This has been key to helping our youth who struggle with mental health and addiction challenges. Thank you Biju, for all you’ve done and continue to do.”
