The CPA and the CIHR Institute of Neurosciences, Mental Health and Addiction (CIHR-INMHA) have announced the launch of the Glenda M. MacQueen Memorial Career Development Award for Women in Psychiatry. This annual award was created to honour the remarkable accomplishments of the late Glenda MacQueen, and support the early-stage development of women who will lead the future of academic psychiatry.

CIHR-INMHA will be the source of funding for the award, which will have a value of $100,000 for one year for one awardee, launched annually for a period of up to five years. The funds for the award are to be used specifically for career development activities, as proposed in the awardee’s successful application. Applications are due online no later than Jul. 4, 2021. The successful applicant will be announced at the CPA’s annual conference in October 2021, or at the CPA’s AGM.
