Don’t Miss this Year’s Pacific Psychopharmacology Conference on Friday September 23!

The conference organizers, including members of the UBC Department of Psychiatry, invite you this year’s Pacific Psychopharmacology Conference on Friday, Sept 23, 2022. This annual event is taking place both virtually and in-person at the Pinnacle Hotel Harbourfront in downtown Vancouver, BC. A renowned group of international and local experts have been invited to discuss a range of psychiatric disorders and psychopharmacology topics, including:

    • treatment updates on depression
    • pharmacogenetic testing for treatment of mood disorders
    • managing antidepressant induced sexual side effects
    • schizophrenia treatment updates
    • treatment of adult ADHD: stimulant use and psychosis
    • successful management of clozapine in the community
    • antipsychotic related movement disorders
    • psychiatric prescribing in pediatric autism
    • new technologies for home-based medication adherence and management
    • examining the public supply of addictive drugs

Understanding Concurrent Disorders to Improve Treatment Outcomes: A Focus on Practical Care

This workshop will use clinical cases to discuss practical treatment approaches for individuals with concurrent disorders. We will deliberate on diagnostic issues and psychopathology, focus on treatment approaches and integration of interventions and discuss progress and treatment outcomes. This workshop is designed to be interactive, allowing plenty of time for discussion and questions. Spaces for this workshop fill up fast, so register early!
