IT Anouncment Exchange 2007 Disruption

Exchange 2007 mail disruption and smart phones.

On Wednesday January 11, the UBC Exchange e-mail system was brought to a halt by out of date ActiveSync devices, consuming too many e-mail server resources. ActiveSync devices include Apple iPhones, Apple iPad, Windows Mobile phones, Palm WebOS and some Android phones.

If you own one of these devices, please help us keep the Exchange e-mail system running smoothly and protect yourself from hacking by update its operating system.
