Research and Interests
His interests include individual therapy and group therapy for adults, and psychotherapy training.
With Dr. W.E. Piper and colleagues, Dr. Weideman has been involved in the study of complicated grief, including its prevalence and contrasting group therapy approaches for this condition.
Dr. Weideman received a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of British Columbia in 1983. He is the Director of the Clinical Psychology Centre at Simon Fraser University and the Associate Director (Faculty Affairs) of the Psychotherapy Program in the UBC Department of Psychiatry.
