Short Biography
Dr. Kathryn Fung is a Clinical Associate Professor in the UBC Department of Psychiatry, and has served as the Program Director for Undergraduate Medical Education in Psychiatry since 2016. In this role, she is responsible for the delivery of the undergraduate psychiatry curriculum from Years 1 to 4 across all four distributed sites in the province. Prior to this, she served as the Undergraduate Discipline Specific Site Leader (DSSL) at Richmond Hospital from 2009 to 2014, and in 2011, was concurrently appointed as the Year 3/4 Director for Undergraduate Psychiatry Education. For a decade, she has held roles in the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC’s Practice Enhancement program, including peer assessor, medical advisor, and chart reviewer. In addition to her roles in the Department, Dr. Fung is a psychiatrist at Richmond Hospital and the Medical Lead for Medical Staff Practice Enhancement Panels at the BC Medical Quality Initiative.
