On behalf of the Psychiatry Awards Committee, we are pleased to announce that Dr. Michael Song is the recipient of the inaugural Dr. William H. Holt Memorial Award in Psychiatry!
Earlier this year, the Department announced the establishment of the Dr. William H. Holt Memorial Award in Psychiatry to support residents who have been invited to present at a national or international psychiatric conference. This award will cover up to $2,500 in associated travel and participation expenses, and up to two awards will be offered annually.
Dr. Song, a PGY-5 Fraser/Research Track resident, has been invited to deliver an oral presentation on “Crisis within a crisis: risk factors of overdose among those with severe concurrent disorders” at the International Society of Addiction Medicine (ISAM) Annual Global Congress in Rotterdam, Netherlands, running from October 1-3, 2026.
